The other day I was invited by two of my seniors to visit a sick friend of theirs whom I was also acquainted. The cricket thingy.
Three of us traveled in an early 1990s 240 series Volvo station wagon, which has a very large cargo space. Wow !!
Sitting at the back, through out the night journey from Ipoh to Kepala Batas, my mind drifted to the time, in my younger days, traveling with my friends across highlands and islands, glens, lochs and trossachs of Scotland.
Life was, a bit carefree, full of adventures, going to many interesting places, meeting interesting characters. Sketching endless poems.
It was a bit awkward, when making similar journey that night in that classic wagon. Talking men’s (grown up boys) talk. Sharing men’s wishful thoughts.
